Custom Implant Supported Dentures in Flint
Implant-supported dentures, or “snap-on” dentures, are removable and securely anchored to 2-4 implants. Implant-supported dentures provide improved stability and comfort compared to traditional dentures. Implant-supported dentures ensure stability, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. Since they clip onto dental implants, you never have to worry about your denture rubbing or slipping out of place. No need for adhesives or strips, making implant-supported dentures more convenient. Implants support jawbone health, preserving bone density and facial structure over time.
How to Care for Implant-Supported Dentures
- Brush regularly and keep your gums clean: Remove your dentures each night. Clean your gums and supporting dental implants with a soft toothbrush and tap water. Non-abrasive toothpaste can also be used. Brush again in the morning before placing your dentures back into your mouth.
- Clean your dentures daily:
Remove your dentures from your mouth and clean them thoroughly with a denture brush and approved denture cleaner. Rinse your dentures thoroughly with water before reinserting them into your mouth. We recommend soaking your dentures overnight in a gentle effervescent cleanser.
- Schedule regular dental checkups: Routine dental visits are essential to ensure the durability and health of your implants. Dr. Nazarian recommends scheduling a checkup at least twice a year to ensure your dentures are in good condition and to address any issues that may arise.
